How Hard Could It Be?
Minnesota got to elect Jesse "The Body" Ventura, and Cahl-lee-for-nea has Ahnold. Down in Texas, shouldn't it be our turn to put somebody wacky into the governor's mansion?
If I didn't have to work, I'd go!
In my opinion, Friedman has less of a chance of beating current governor,
Rick Perry (a good example of a person who is a successful politician due primarily to their perfect hair), than our current State Comptroller Carole Keeton Rylander. I think she has a good chance, and I'll probably end up voting for her. White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan is Rylander's son.
I hate to say it, but a vote for Kinky Friedman will probably be a wasted one. I like him, and I've seen him on Imus several times. It would be nice to have someone as progressive and willing to think outside of the box as Friedman. School funding, for one thing, is a real mess down here. But I just don't think the majority of voters in Texas are ready for him. That's too bad.

I would love to see Kinky win, but you are right "perfect perry" and his blow-dryer posse will be impossible to beat.
"How hard can it be?" Best campaign slogan ever.
Perry coasted into office on the coattails of Bush. He's a stuffed shirt.
I think Rylander has a good chance of beating him.
