"No One Is to Blame" was written by Howard Jones, and it first appeared on his second album, 1985's Dream into Action. It was his biggest American hit, reaching #4 on the charts. The song also appeared on the Action Replay EP in 1986. The single version (with Phil Collins on drums) was on Jones' 1986 album, One to One. I heard this a lot during that distant summer of '86.

I absolutely LOVE this Howard Jones' song! I saw him about 10 years ago with Gene Loves Jezebel, The Outfield, Rick Springfield, and Tone Loc (cue "One of These Things Is Not Like Other" music) at the Sunken Gardens here in San Antonio. It was quite a day of nostalgia but I loved every minute of it!
Wow - a show that must have been! Gene Loves Jezebel. I haven't heard of them in a while. My first serious girlfriend and I - this was "our song," so you can imagine the nostalgia level.
