It makes me sad that the Main Theater is shut down. What we need to do is pool a mountain of money and run an Alamo Drafthouse style theater in Nac there. Once me make fistfuls of dollars we can buy the Redland and do retro/grind house nights there.
I spent way too much time in both of these during the years 1971-1975. At the SFA I remember seeing both Death Race 2000 and Blazing Saddles, while severly altered. Well, I think I remember seeing these movies... Thanks for the jolt!
Blazing Saddles while severely altered was no doubt ten times better than it already is. I saw Bright Lights, Big City a few years later (1988) in the SFA Theater (not severely altered, though).

But where would all the Godtel, cigarette smokers go??? I'd miss their omnipresence downtown....
