This is a repost from October 2006, justified by finding the video at the excellent Hulu. The downside is a brief ad at the beginning.....

Here is the late, great Phil Hartman doing what was probably a fairly accurate Sinatra imitation in a McLaughlin Group parody called "The Sinatra Group," from the 1990-91 season (the best cast in my opinion) of Saturday Night Live.

I always loved Phil Hartman's take on Sinatra. It was pretty spot on in my opinion. It would really crack me up.

Absolutely - while it's still only an impression, it sure rings true!

Good God, that was Sting playing Billy Idol. Amazing.

That bit holds up well; still hilarious after all these years.

Hartman was a great loss to comedy.
