Hemphill

Hemphill, Texas, is the Sabine County Seat and is 64 miles E of Lufkin, 28 miles SE of San Augustine, and 64 miles SE of Nacogdoches. It was empty as a pocket with nothing to lose.

The K-C Drugs still uses an old-fashioned soda fountain. I hope it always will.

I waited outside, hoping for just a glimpse of His Royal Badness. But, alas, he never did appear.

This old home had a Texas Historic Commission Memorial Plaque on it, but I forgot to walk up to it and read it. Still, it looks neat.
