Rockstar Games and Team Bondi have been working on a game called L.A. Noire. According to this fansite:
"L.A. Noire is an interactive detective story set in the classic noir period of the late 1940's. L.A. Noire blends action, detection and complex storytelling and draws players into an open-ended challenge to solve a series of gruesome murders. Set in a perfectly recreated Los Angeles before freeways, with a post-war backdrop of corruption, drugs and jazz, L.A. Noire will truly blend cinema and gaming."
An offical trailer will be released on October 5, but here is L.A. Noire.net's teaser trailer:
Here is the high quality version.

Please update this post. It is highly unlikely L.A. Noire will use the GTA4 engine, since it's being worked on by an entirely different studio. Rockstar Games is just the publishing label. Team Bondi are the ones developing it ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat Jordan posted at PlanetGTA is just his wild speculation, which is also evident in every other one of his posts about future games.
Any idea what platform it's going to be on?
ReplyDeleteI did, chris. I should have thought of that. Wishful thinking, I guess (probably Jordan's excuse too!).
ReplyDeleteThat's a good question, lisa. I just checked the site and there's no indication. It has an XBox look about it, but I hope it's out on PS2, also.
